Thank You Candice!

SCF would like to thank our summer student Candice Froess for her excellent work on the Choral Library.  Candice spent three months at SCF creating music catalogues to make programming your annual repertoire easier.  Seventy-five catalogues have been arranged by voicing and genre.  Be sure to check them out on your next visit to the office!

We're going to miss you Candice!

Wanted: National Youth Choir Alumni!

The Association of Canadian Choral Communities (formerly Association of Canadian Choral Conductors) is looking to update their contacts for Alumni of the National Youth Choir.  A research project is being conducted by Emma Borsellino on behalf of ACCC in preparations for the NYC's 30th Anniversary in 2014.
You can contact Ms. Borsellino at ejb802@mun.ca

Please pass on this information to your NYC connections – it would be wonderful to reconnect with the 60+ Saskatchewanians (of more than 600 alumni!) who have been part of the NYC during the 15 tours that have occurred over the past 30 years!

Jr. Glee Camp

This July, the Saskatchewan Choral Federation partnered with the Regina North East Community Association to hold the first ever Jr Glee Camp. From Tuesday, July 2 to Friday, July 5, 2013, 28 campers, ages 6 – 14, came from McDermid Community School, Imperial Community School & Dr. L.M. Hanna School and spent the week making music. Campers learned drumming and guitar, sang in choir, and made their own percussion instruments. The week culminated with a final concert on Friday for family, friends and residents of the Regina Lutheran Home.
